Arbor Garden
Where History and Nature Meet
The arbor, adorned with Lady Banks roses, frames the twin garden lawns and invites guests to wander along gravel paths lined with old-world camellias and classic boxwood. Towering golden ginkgo trees, stately magnolias and pecan trees create a canopy above, while birdsong drifts through the branches. An elegant fountain and whimsical gazebo add tranquility and beauty to this cherished garden.

Immerse Yourself in a Tapestry of History & Greenery
Nestled within the Arsenal Hill grounds, this historic garden oasis dates back to 1830 and has long drawn visitors, historians and garden enthusiasts from around the world. It became a true labor of love for Mrs. Sarah Porter Smith Boylston, who lived in the Caldwell-Boylston House for more than sixty years beginning in 1910. Known for her elegant garden parties, Mrs. Boylston welcomed actors, politicians and dignitaries, leaving behind a legacy of hospitality and charm.
